In spite of having shot many thousands of images with both film and digital it is an understatement to say that the learning process is continuing. With digital the process only begins when the picture is taken. We have two computer systems configured for image storage and processing. Online storage on these machines is ½ TB. Our current most used software includes:

Nearly all the photo screening, simple transformations and cropping is done with either ThumbsPlus or VuePrint Pro 32. Both are first class programs.
Adobe Photoshop is essential software for digital photography. Everything else in this category pales in comparison. New plugins continue to come out which make the job of creating first class images easier and of higher quality. Currently we find Color Mechanic a superb plugin for color adjustments.
Fireworks is equally essential for digital photography. It is a companion software package for Macromedia's Dreamweaver MX. The Fireworks/ Dreamweaver combination is excellent for posting photos on the Internet.
The merger of Adobe products with Macromedia will undoubtedly produce the new industry standard for web development tools.
Qimage is the best software for multiple image printing. Single large sheet prints can be done easily with Photoshop but when more is required Qimage is excellent.
